The 2nd Course Workshop ARS NAUTICA - Seafaring through Ages was held from 11 to 18 June 2016 in the Inter-university centre in Dubrovnik.The focus of the workshop was the phenomenon of the dolia shipwrecks from Roman times, interpreted as 'tankers' for the transportation of greater quantities of wine at the beginning of the New Era. The results of the 1st year of the realization of the AdriaS Project were also presented during the theoretical part of the workshop.
According to the plan, the practical part of the workshop took place at the dolia shipwreck site from the 1st c. AD near the islet of Supetar in front of Cavtat. It aimed at photogrametric mapping of the site, and updating the existing documentation. The results of the workshop stressed the need for verification of previous data in order to produce the more accurate siteplans.
